ONE Beach Volleyball Club is Tulsa’s first junior’s beach volleyball club and consistently trains athletes to play and compete at the highest level. We are dedicated to growing the sport of Beach volleyball in the Oklahoma area and providing opportunities for athletes to learn the game as well as providing opportunities to play beach volleyball competitively.
We do this by creating a variety of programs designed to develop the most complete athlete for their desired level of play. Our programs focus on teaching athletes both basic and advanced beach volleyball skills and strategy to help them learn the game of beach volleyball as well as to help them improve their indoor game.
Whether you are looking to improve your indoor skills by playing in the sand, are looking to have fun playing with friends in the sun, or are looking to train and compete in beach volleyball at the highest level, the ONEBeach Volleyball Program is for you.
Players are welcome to sign up for tournaments all year round through USAV, AAU, JVA, or any other junior’s beach volleyball organization.
We offer training in the fall and spring for all levels of athletes for boy boys and girls interested in learning and growing in the sport of beach volleyball.
In the summer, we offer tournaments, leagues, training, and competitive team options.
ONE BEACH TRAINING
Our ONE Beach training sessions are led by high-level beach volleyball coaches and focus on specific skills and strategies needed to improve and learn and compete in the game of beach volleyball.
Training sessions are 90 minutes long and are split into two segments: Skills Training and Game-Like Experience.
Skills Training
During this time, players will be trained in beach volleyball skills and strategy to improve their skills and understanding of the game. We will spend time teaching, giving examples, and placing players in drills that teach and reinforce each week’s focus.
Game-Like Experience
During this portion, players will be given the opportunity to have game-like experiences with active coaching that focuses on that day’s skills in a face-paced, challenging, and encouraging environment.
About Our Coaches
Our coaches are passionate, experienced, and well-trained in teaching young players about the game in a way that is encouraging, informative, and challenging. Whether you are a new beach volleyball player or are looking to compete in beach volleyball at the highest level, our coaches are experienced and equipped to serve and train players to be excellent and competitive beach volleyball players.
Coach Evyn Wills
Evyn played volleyball at The NCAA Div. 1, University of Tulsa and was the first Libero at TU and still ranks 6th in all-time digs.
Coach Evyn has experience coaching at the college level as an assistant coach at TU as well as coaching club, youth volleyball camps, and founding 918 volleyball, a youth volleyball program to introduce volleyball and teach skills to beginner youth volleyball players. Coach Evyn became passionate about playing beach volleyball and played competitively throughout the Midwest, before continuing her career competing in AVP qualifiers and main draw events. Evyn played beach volleyball in California throughout 2008-2010, was a top AVP qualifier ad broke into the AVP main draw a number of times.
Coach Shelby Swanson
Coach Shelby competed at the NCAA Div 1 level at ORU and has been coaching high-level club volleyball in Tulsa since 2012. She has led her teams to 7 indoor national qualifications, one top 16 finish, and one top 25 finish. Coach Shelby is the director of the ONE Beach volleyball program and has over 6 years of experience coaching beach Volleyball. Coach Shelby has trained many national qualifying beach players and teams. Coach Shelby currently serves as the Head coach at Holland Hall Volleyball and holds two regional championships and one 3rd place state finish in the last 3 seasons with Holland Hall. Coach Shelby is passionate about the game of beach volleyball and training athletes to be high-level, competitive beach volleyball players.
